The Star Wars Simulation (also known as SWSIM or Star Wars Sim) was the embryonic forerunner of the Star Wars Combine. SWSIM lasted from March 1995 until November 3, 1998, and culminated with a heavily disputed Rebel Alliance victory. The Star Wars Combine was launched shortly thereafter in December 1998 under the auspices of Sim Master Fizzban. Many players and groups in the SWSIM migrated to the Combine, but the Rebel Alliance notoriously did not, with only a few members joining.
