The Combine Commander (CCom) was the Star Wars Combine's first stand-alone downloadable application. In April 2000, it was replaced by ICIS, which was subsequently replaced by the current Darkness interface in December 2003.

Details

The Combine Commander was the software required to play the Star Wars Combine simulation. It was coded by Sim Master Fizzban in JAVA and was mainly responsible for administrative tasks. Version 1.33 of the Combine Commander allowed you to manage the Non-Player Characters (NPC) you control and upgrades the internal mailing lists.

Note the Combine Commander was one of two programs used by the early Star Wars combine simulation. The second program, HoloCom, was the client where the actual gameplay took place. The HoloCom allowed you to travel through space, to move around on the surface of planets, to visit buildings and to role-play with other Combine players. The HoloCom also featured an Auto-Refresh function, Hidden Structures, Secret Rooms, Personal Messages and different travel speeds.
